Tablas de Daimiel
Las Tablas de Daimiel is a National Park south from Madrid, conveniently situated near the highway going to Sierra de Andujar. It is a good introduction to Spanish wetlands.
I did expect to find just a few hides, but actually there are many boardwalks going through the lakes, making it easy to observe birds and take photos.
It is a good opportunity to take photos of common species.
Penduline Tits are very hard to photograph. As soon as they land on the reeds, the plants start folding, and it continues as long as they keep moving.
Other Birds of interest include Red-crested Pochard and Reed Warbler.
